TAMPA, Florida -- There were plenty of early season story lines that developed in Week 5 of the 2025-26 Major Arena Soccer League Women season, and on both sides of the border.

In suburban Toronto, FC Berlin picked up a 10-7 win over Detroit City FC, who had a perfect regular season in 2024-25 and played for the league championship last spring. FC Berlin is the first MASL W team based in Canada. Meanwhile, the Iowa Demon Hawks, who signed several stars from last year's league championship team in Chihuahua, had them on display in Cedar Rapids in a 15-1 season-opening win.

Two additional teams kept their perfect starts in tact, with Louisville improving to 3-0 and the Omaha Queens advancing to 2-0 with victories over the weekend. The Wichita Lady Luck squeaked out a one goal win, and Austin's 512 FC broke into the win column as well.

The holiday season schedule continues to be a busy one, with eight games on tap Saturday and Sunday, including home opener for  teams in Detroit (in a rematch against FC Berlin), and Houston, an all Wichita battle between the Lady Luck and ICT Aztecs, and the season-debut for Indiana United.
