Silva (Monterrey), Kellogg (Louisville) MASL W Week 9 Player of Week award winners

TAMPA, Florida -- Susana Silva of Atletico Monterrey and Katelynn Kellogg of the Louisville Triumph have been selected as the Major Arena Soccer League Players of the Week for offense and goalkeeping.

Silva was key in helping Atletico Monterrey in getting a weekend split of games in Houston, as she scored five goals in two games, after Monterey swept a doubleheader at home from the Bolt the week prior. Silva had a hat trick in the opener this weekend as Monterrey secured an 8-4 win. On the season, she has eight goals and two assists to lead her team in scoring.

Kellogg was stout in goal in a battle of undefeated teams in the Great Lakes South, leading Louisville to a 6-1 win over the Cincinnati Sirens. She and her defense all but had the shut out, losing that bid in the game's final two minutes. Collegiately, she played for Costal Carolina and four-years with Gardner-Webb where in her senior season she was ranked third nationally in the NCAA for saves and seventh nationally in saves per game.
