Ostrander (Wichita) and Rizakos (FC Berlin) earn MASL W Player of Week recognition
TAMPA, Florida -- Wichita goalkeeper Hadley Ostrander and FC Berlin's Olivia Rizakos have earned Player of the Week honors in helping their two teams, the Wichita Lady Luck and FC Berlin respectively, to big victories in Week 7 of Major Arena Soccer League Women play.
Ostrander gave up just two goals in a tight game against the Wichita Aero, won by the Lady Luck 3-2. Ostrander won six games for the Lady Luck last season when Wichita posted an 8-1-1 record. She plays collegiately for Fort Hays State University, and was a standout at Maize South High School in Wichita where she set school records for most starts and most shutouts in league history.
Rizakos helped engineer a huge win for Canada's only MASL W team, FC Berlin, who defeated Detroit City FC, 10-7. Detroit was undefeated in the regular season, and lost in the league championship game. Rizakos had a hand in five of her team's goals. scoring two and adding three assists. She is one of the country's top young players, having earned U-Sports First Team All Canada honors in 2025 at Guelph University. She led the country in points in 2025 with 11 goals and nine assists in 12 games.
