Omaha Queens chase final playoff spot with tough test against Demon Hawks x 2

TAMPA, Florida -- All eyes in the Major Arena Soccer League Women final weekend of the regular season will be on Des Moines, Iowa as the Omaha Queens visit for back-to-back games with a chance to advance to the league playoffs March 20-22 in Detroit.
The Queens need to win both in regulation time in order to overtake Texas Lone Star, which currently holds the final wild-card berth for the post season. The two have played twice already in Omaha earlier ths year, with the Demon Hawks taking wins of 15-5 and 13-6. The Demon Hawks are 8-0 with a goal differential of plus 80, and Omaha comes in with a mark of 5-3 with a goal differential of plus 4.
Leading the way for Iowa is Silvia Castillo with 31 goals and five assists. She is one of four players in double digits for goals this year. Martha Saenz is second on the team in goals with 12 and Andrea Gallegos is second overall in total scoring. For Omaha, Mia Hurt has had a great season with 20 goals and two assists. Mayme Conroy is second on the team in scoring with 12 goals and four assists.
The final eight-team field, and a complete schedule of weekend games in Detroit, will be released early next week.
