The 23-team, in just its second season, will crown a new champion as the Chihuahua Savage (who also won championships in the MASL and MASL 2) did not return to the MASL for the 2025-26 season.

"Based on the regular season, it's a pretty wide open field with literally just about any one of the teams having a chance to bring home a title," MASL Commissioner Chris Economides said. "Detroit is a fantastic host -- amazing fans, electric venue -- and every shot, every goal will be contested at both ends of the field in every game. Whoever is left standing on Sunday will truly be a worthy champion."
