TAMPA, Florida -- Although Mother Nature did have the upper hand this weekend, five Major Arena Soccer League Women games did manage to get to the post and provide fans from Kentucky to Texas with plenty of hot action.

Louisville got maybe the biggest win of the weekend, beating the weekend ice storm by playing Friday night at home, and winning a battle of unbeatens 6-1 against the Cincinnati Sirens.  Detroit City took to the road and defeated Youngstown, and in Columbus, the Eagles and Susserfuss Ballverein had a nail-biter that Columbus won by a goal.

It wasn't the only one goal game of the weekend, however, as the Houston Bolt salvaged a weekend split of home games with Atletico Monterrey, winning Sunday's showdown 6-5 after falling the day previous, 8-4.

Next weekend -- weather permitting -- nine big games dominate the schedule, including key matchups in the Great Lakes North as first place Detroit City FC crossed the border to take on second place FC Berlin, which handed Detroit its only regular season loss in the last two years earlier this season. Plenty of Texas action too as undefeated Dallas RPFC and Austin 512 FC tangle, along with the Houston Indoor Club on the road in Dallas to take on Texas Lone Star.
