TAMPA, Florida -- There were big crowds, big excitement and big wins galore in Major Arena Soccer League Women this past weekend including standing room only gatherings for home openers for Texas Lone Star and the OKC Ghosts.
Fans in Wichita had plenty to cheer about as the Aero recorded their second straight win, after not winning a game in 2024-25, and the ICT Aztecs, who won nine games last year, picked up where they left off with a road win against the Side FC OKC Cyclones.
Texas Lone Star had a smashing debut, doubling up the Houston Indoor Club before a sell out crowd at the Lone Star's facility in the Metroplex while across town, RPFC picked up where they left off last year -- when they went to the MASL W finals -- in rolling to a season opening win.
The Ghosts dropped a pair at home, one to the Wichita Aero and another to the Tulsa FC Channel Cats, The Aero also handled the Wichita Lady Luck this weekend and the KS Astras took their second straight over the Iowa Raptors.
Plenty of big debuts on tap this coming weekend including in Omaha where the Queens host the Raptors, the battle of Dallas as Lone Star hosts RPFC, the Youngstown Knighthawks hosting FC Berlin and the Aztecs at home against the Cyclones, all on Saturday. On Sunday, RPFC is on the road to Austin 512 FC and FC Berlin wraps up its Ohio road trip in Cincinnati.
